For seasoning, I always use Diamond Crystal kosher salt. If you use Morton, use half.
Storage: duck legs keep submerged in their fat, covered, in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, that's the whole point of confit. Once crisped, leftovers keep for up to 3 days; reheat in a hot skillet or oven to bring the skin back.
