Method
Make the Candied Walnuts
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium. Add walnuts, sugar, and butter.
- Stir frequently for 5 minutes. Once the sugar starts melting, stir constantly until fully melted and walnuts are coated.
- Immediately transfer to parchment paper and separate the nuts while warm. Let cool.
Assemble the Endive Bites
- Place endive leaves on a serving tray.
- Add a small dollop of bacon onion jam to the base of each leaf.
- Add a crumb of blue cheese and top with a candied walnut.
Optional: Finish with a light drizzle of aged balsamic vinegar. Serve immediately.
